My story
A lifetime on the water.
I've been fishing pretty much my whole life. I grew up on Florida's east coast, surf fishing the beaches with my dad over the holidays. When we weren't on the sand, we were out on the freshwater lakes of Central Florida, and every once in a while we'd get in an offshore trip or a charter when we traveled.
As I got older, I taught my own kids to fish. Living in different parts of the country gave me the chance to learn new water too. Arkansas is where I picked up fly fishing.
When we moved back to South Florida, I got back into fishing and boating, and I kept running into the same problem: off-the-shelf rods just weren't the right fit. They weren't something I wanted to use day to day, and the quality just wasn't there. So I learned the craft.
